Ductwork, 5) Overhaul Ventilation Fans and Motors, 6) Clean
Recirculation Ventilation Systems, 7) Renew Chilled Water Pumps and
Overhaul Valves, 8) Overhaul and Test Fuel Manifolds, 9) Install
Magazine Sprinkler Valves, 10) Overhaul and Weight Test Motor Surf Boat
Davit Assembly, 11) Renew Joiner Bulkhead Coaming, 12) Remove
Accommodation Ladder, 13) Preserve Grey Water Collection Tank, 14)
Renew Deck Coverings, 15) Provide Temporary Logistics. Indefinite Item
is: 1) Provide Additional Temporary Logistics, Vessel's homeport is
New Bedford, MA. Vessel length is 270' overall. Vessel availability
schedule will be 03 February 1998, for 42 days. The place of
performance for this vessel will be at its homepier in New Bedford, MA.
There will be a non-refundable charge required in the form of a
certified check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard in
the amount of $100.00 for requested U.S. Coast Guard specification
reference drawings. All other referenced documents are available for
viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA. Plans and
specifications will be issued on or after 29 October 1997. All
responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the
United States Coast Guard. This notice is for informational purposes
for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The
department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged
Business Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working
capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts.
Loans are available under the DOT Short Term lending Program (STLP) at
prime interest rates u to $5000,000 per contract to provide accounts
receiving financing. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms
to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $500,000 per
contract. DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a
