NOAA's Office of Security has a requirement for technical consulting services related to security to maintain the quality and integrity of NOAA's security program and respond to the needs and desires of the NOAA organizations. The Contractor shall furnish the necessary personnel, supervision, training and other services required to perform the Government's requirements. A general synopsis of the Government's requirements are: (1) Security Design and Engineering. -- - Conduct security surveys and collect information on NOAA sites. Design security measures to counter threats and reduce vulnerabilities. Develop technical specifications, statements of work, and cost estimates and analyses on security equipment and services. Customizesecurity hardware to enhance operability of overall system. Advise NOAA on the design and acquisition of security equipment, systems, and services. Generate CAD drawings for engineering and equipment installation. (2) Technical, Management and Security Consulting. -- - Consult on the management of security programs and functions. Provide advice and guidance on technical issues, changes in threats and vulnerabilities. Provide research and development of new techniques, concepts, practices, devices and developments related to information technology, management, and security. The period of performance is anticipated to be six months with two full time positions. The work to be performed is located at East West Highway and Colesville Road, Silver Spring, MD.
