Z -- MAINTENANCE DREDGING, 39-, 41-, AND 44- FOOT PROJECT, CUT-1B, 1,2 TRIDENT ACCESS CHANNEL, TURNING BASIN, AND MIDDLE TURNING BASIN, CANAVERAL HARBOR FLORIDA SOL DACW17-98-B-0002 DUE 121697 POC Contract Specialist Robert Mosteller (904) 232-3739 (Site Code DACW17) The project work consists of removing shoals from: (1) The Entrance Channel, Cut-1B through Cut-2 to a required depth of 44 feet plus 2-foot allowable overdepth; (2) From the Trident Access Channel and Turning Basin to a required depth of 41 feet plus 2- foot allowable overdepth; and (3) From the Middle Turning Basin to a required depth of 39 feet plus 2-foot allowable overdepth. The Dredged beach quality material (as specified in the contract plans and specifications) between Cut-2, Sta. 150+00 and the Trident Access Channel Sta 15+00 will be placed in the nearshore disposal area (or near nearshore disposal area). All dredged non-beach quality material will be placed in the designated offfshore disposal area located approximately 9 miles from the project site. Total quantity to be dredged is approximately 980,000 cubic yards. Work will also include Turbidity Monitoring. Magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Pre-Solicitation Notice will be issued on or about 07 Oct 97. Invitation DACW17-98-B-0002 will be issued on or about 29 Oct 97 and opened on or about 16 Dec 97. Cost of Plans and Specifications is $40.00. Checks should be made payable to FAO USAED Jacksonville, and sent to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville, Florida.
