Hartford 845-4661. The U.S. Department of Energy, Albuquerque
Operations Office (DOE/AL), offers for sale one each deHavilland
DHC-7-103 (Dash 7) airplane and its inventory of parts, components, and
special equipment and tools. The DHC-7 aircraft, s/n 106, N54026, was
delivered new to DOE/AL as a 1985 model with a full-sized factory cargo
door. The airplane may be operated in a full cargo, full passenger, or
combination with a moveable bulkhead to separate passenger cabin from
the cargo cabin. Total time and cycles of the airframe are 8933 flight
hours and 8476 cycles. The four Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-50 engines
are low to mid-time, both in time since overhaul and cycles since
overhaul. Cargo door dimensions are 5' 10" high by 7' 7" wide. This
aircraft was operated principally in New Mexico and Nevada under a
Federal Aviation Administration Part 121 Air Carrier Operating
Certificate. Included as separate items are: (1) One DHC-7-103 four
engine, turboprop airplane, (2) One P&WC PT6A-50 turbine engine, (3)
One Hamilton Standard 24PF-305 four blade propeller, (4) One lot of
DHC-7 and P&WC PT6A-50 life limited parts and components, (5) One lot
of DHC-7 and P&WC PT6A-50 general/consumable parts, and (6) One lot of
special tools and ground support equipment for DHC-7 and P&WC PT6A-50.
This sale will be negotiated from the best offers received. In addition
to other factors, offers will be evaluated on the basis of advantages
and disadvantages to the Government that might result from making more
than one award (multiple awards). Awards shall be for the items or
combinations of items that result in the best overall return to the
Government. Items 1 through 6 may be inspected and evaluated begining
on or about November 4 through 28. Details will be announced in the
solicitation. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on
or about November 3, 1997. Offers will be due on or about December 3,
