Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) intends to negotiate only with Engineering Electronic Services (EES), or it's authorized reseller(s), for the upgrade of 2 existing UNIX based LaserCom Report and Data Archival licensed products into a single NASA Wide Enterprise NT Windows based "COWWW" Report and Data Archival license. The NASA ADP Consolidation Center (NACC), located at MSFC, is seeking to migrate the existing capability with it's approx. 500 existing reports imbedded on optical worm disk, to a GFE NT based server(s) utilizting existing HP 20XT Optical Jukeboxes. The enhanced Window's NT based license shall provide on-line report access, search and storage capability, data archival, encryption, auto report extracts and provide access for up to 33,000 potential PC or Mac users; both NASA and Contractor personnel. The NT product shall be compatable with standard Web browser applications (i.e., Internet Exployer, Netscape Communicator). Any existing reports shall be made compatable with the enhanced Window's product. The acquisition shall include installation and implementation of the new product at each potential site and provide software maintenance support for a base period and multiple optional periods. Interested parties have 15 days from the publication date of this synopsis to submit their qualifications/capabilities (i.e., technical specifications, brochures, and "pricing") in the critical areas mentioned above. Said information shall be used by CSC solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received "without the required information" may be considered non-responsive to the synopsis. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this synopsis.
