D -- PROVIDE ALL LABOR, EQUIPMENT, DATABASE MAINTENANCE, AND TRAINING NECESSARY TO INSTALL AND MAINTAIN AN ENHANCED 9-1-1 (E911) PUBLIC SAFETY ANSWERING POINT (PSAP) AND REMOTE DISPATCH POINT SOL DAKF57-98-R-0002 DUE 103097 POC Contract Specialist Cheryl O'Neal 253-967-2151 ext 217 (Site Code DAKF57) The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, database maintenance, and training necessary to install and maintain an Enhanced 9-1-1 (E911) Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) and Remote Dispatch Point. The major functional areas included in the work to be performed under this contract are: the contractor shall; provide for telephone switch upgrades, additional telephone trunks and interface equipment for the interconnect operation of the Fort Lewis E911 system external to the Fort Lewis Dial Central Office, create and maintain a database management system (DBMS) to include all data bases necessary for the Fort Lewis E911 systems operation, install and maintain all telephone, interface controller and data processing equipment at the Fort Lewis PSAP and Military Police Dispatch Point, provide all training needed for Government employed E911 calltakers, dispatcher and supervisors to obtain certification in accordance with local, state and federal rules and regulations. Contract period consists of Base Period (1 April 1998 through 30 September 1998) and four (1) one year option periods. This is a first time acquisition and we do not have any prior contract information. This solicitation will result in a firm-fixed price contract. The proposed procurement listed here will be issued as unrestricted.
