The Albuquerque Area Indian Health Service will be soliciting proposals for Inpatient room, board and all other ancillary/Outpatient Professional and Emergency Room Hospital Services from interested hospital facilities. Services to be provided to IHS beneficiaries who are Contract Health Service eligible. Multiple contract awards will be made to those hospital facilities who will accept reimbursement at the Medicare or lower. All proposals will be accepted and considered by the Government. Proposals will be evaluated on the base year and four year options for renewal. Prospective contractor must possess a current and full and unrestricted license to operate a hospital and have current Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Organizations Certification (JCAHO). The Indian Health Service patient population to be served are located in the southwest regional area. Please refer to solicitation No. RFP 98-05/VZ.
