325-5021 The Defense Special Weapons Agency (DSWA) intends to issue a
sole source modification to Maxwell Federal Division. DSWA has a
requirement for draft technical chapters developed under DSWA Contract
DNA001-96-C-0053 to be presented for update to the 1977 book by
Glasstone and Dolan, "The Effects of Nuclear Weapons" to Department of
Energy (DOE) technical authorities along with suggestions for new
material. This requirement is needed to reach agreement on technical
content, folding in rational and understanding developed under the
referenced contract. The contractor shall initiate discussions with DOE
classification authorities regarding security issues while working with
DSWA security for security issues involving all sections of the draft
material to be prepared. DSWA believes that Maxwell Federal Division is
the only source possessing the necessary existing information,

time required by DSWA. Any other firm desiring consideration mustfully
identify its capability to perform this requirement. See Note 22.
