The United States Maintenance and Logistics Command, Pacific, proposes to contract for Haulout and Repair, Motor Life Boats, CG 44311, CG44331, and CG 44401, GRU North Bend. All work will be performed starting on respective dates of 19 Jan 1998, 05 Jan 1998, and 16 Feb 1998 with completion dates of 11 Feb 98, 28 Jan 98, and 16 Mar 98. Work to be accomplished includes; Haulout, UW Body Work, & fuel cleaning, zinc anode renewal, underwater body preservation, strainer overhaul, propeller shaft removal and installation, renewal of strut and stern tube bearings, hull preservation under D-fenders, mess deck preservation, rubber D-fender renewal, renewal of seat bench faces, repair frames, step installation, stuffing tube removal, after steering preservation & bracket removal, engineroom 120 VAC lighting standardization, lifeline stanchion renewal, port muffler asbestos gasket replacement, exhaust piping renewal, and depth sounder replacement. An Invitation for Bid (IFB) in accordance with the Competitive Demonstration Program, will be issued on November 5, 1997. All responsive sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the agency.
