Clark or Capt Jim Delong (803) 668-2021 This announcement is for the purpose of soliciting names of United States firms or joint ventures between United States Firms and Host Nation firms interested in submitting an offer to maintain and care for war reserve material (WRM) stored in the Sultanate of Oman, State of Bahrain and State of Qatar. The contract involves storage and maintenance of various types of equipment (WRM and Support), medical and munitions, warehousing of rations, and various other supplies. The contract also requires establishing and maintaining billeting and messing for contractor personnel, establishing and maintaining a supply system which will interface with the USAF Standard Base Supply System. In addition, the contractor will operate a supply stock control function at Shaw AFB, SC. This portion of the contract is subject to the Servcie Contract Act. Wage determination 94-2475 (Rev 8) 09/01/97 applies. The solicitation will be evaluated under source selection procedures, resulting in a cost plus award fee contract to the responsible offeror that offers the best value to the Goverment. The contemplated contract is for a basic contract period (1 Oct 98-30 Sep 99) with (4) one year options. All firms applying shall be licensed to do busines in the host nation or demonstrate the ability to be licensed prior to contract award and will comply with the host nation laws and regulations. Host nation will approve list of responding contractors. To aid in the prequalification, firms should submit their host nation commercial registration number, their host nation sponsor's name and the sponsor's commerical registration number. Tentative date for issuance of a draft RFP is on/about 1 Nov 97. The standard industrial classification (SIC) is 8744.
