A solicitation notice will be published before invitations are issued. The scope of work consists of the Contractor to furnish all labor, material, equipment and supplies necessary for the revitalization of an existing Maintenance Facility, Buildings 1203 and 2316 into a BRAC Add/Alter Communication/Electronic Training Facility located at March Air Reserve Base, (Riverside County) California. Work includes but is not limited to, the addition of interior walls and ceilings, mechanical and electrical equipment, structural modifications, existing interior renovations, pavements, piping, concrete and masonry, ventilation, fire protection modifications, and demolition of existing structures and related work. The magnitude of proposed construction is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. 20% Bid Bond requirement; Davis-Bacon wage rates applicable; liquidated damages are $295.00 per day; 60 day bid acceptance. Contract performance is 150 calendar days. This solicitation is scheduled to be issued on or about 31 October 1997; Bid opening is scheduled on or about 4 December 1997. This solicitation is advertised as an unrestricted procurement. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 1541 and the applicable small business size standard (including affiliates) is $17 million average revenue for the previous three years. Plans, specifications and bid documents are available at a non-refundable charge of $55.00 per set. A certified check or money order only must be made out to "USPFO for California". Company checks are not acceptable. All requests must be in writing and indicate business size and minority status. Telephonic requests will not be accepted.
