has a requirement for a contractor to provide all supervision, labor,
materials, tools, and equipment to perform all tasks necessary for the
performance of ceiling, ceiling tile and light fixture replacement and
alterations to the Social Security Administration buildings at the
Woodlawn Main Complex, Security West, National Computer Center and
Metro West Complex's in Baltimore, Maryland. This requirement includes
complete construction services to accomplish the following types of
work: acoustical, plastering, carpentry, masonry, electrical, plumbing,
and painting. It is anticipated that the resulting contract will be a
firm-fixed price indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract for
a minimum dollar amount of $200,000 and a maximum dollar amount of $1.5
million for a base year and four 1-year options, if exercised. This
acquisition has been determined to be a 100 percent Small Business
Set-Aside. The SIC code for this requirement is 1542 and the Small
Business Size Standard is $17 million. All interested parties wishing
to submit an offer on this acquisition shall make a written request for

(SSA-RFP-98-3416) will be available for release on or about November 1,
1997 with proposals due 30 calendar days thereafter. Written requests

accepted. Offerors interested in obtaining a copy of the RFP must
respond within 15 days of this announcement. All requests shall cite
the solicitation number SSA-RFP-98-3416. Requests received after this
period will be filled on a first-come, first-serve, basis until the
supply is exhausted. All responsible sources may submit a proposal
