Contractor to furnish all labor, materials and equipment for the renovation of approximately 30,000 sf of Building 28, Nursing Home Care Unit (NHCU), to provide increased patient privacy. Increased patient privacy shall be achieved through the installation of additional toilet/shower rooms, movement of walls to result in less patients per room and renovation of existing rooms to result in greater efficiency. Work shall include demolition of walls and slabs, installation of mechnical and electrical and completion of finishes throughout the facility. The Government estimate is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The SIC code is 1542, General Contractors -- Nonresidential Buildings, Other Than Industrial Buildings and Warehouses. Construction completion is 365 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. Award is subject to the availability of funds. There is a fee of $25/set. Form of payment must in the form of a check or money order and payable to the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Refund will be made upon return of bid documents in good condition, without marks, notes, etc., within 20 calendar days after the final date for receipt of offers.
