Cummings, Contracting Officer, 301/496-6546 The National Library of Medicine (NLM) has a requirement for a Contractor, with a staff experienced in trademark and copyright law, to provide all necessary trademark, copyright, and domain name legal services for the NLM. The Contractor must be able to prosecute trademark applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for federal registration of marks; evaluate questions of infringement; conduct oppositions, interferences and appeals before the USPTO; and perform additional trademark, copyright, and domain names legal services as needed. A one-year fixed price, indefinite delivery (indefinite quantity) type contract with options to extend the term for two (2) successive one-year periods and options for additional quantities within the base year and each option year is contemplated.
