All current and future users of AAIS are encouraged to access the system using the Internet. Access via the modem will soon be discontinued. The Headquarters, Industrial Operations Command, Environmental Contracting Division will issue Request for Proposal (RFP) DAAA09-98-R-0001 O/A 30 Dec 97. This solicitation is for the demilitarization of the following families of conventional ammunition: Bulk Propellant, ICM Projectiles, Explosive D Loaded Projectiles, Pyrotechnics, Separate Loading Propelling Charges, Small Caliber Ammunition (20mm thru 30mm), Fuzes, HE Bombs, and HE Cartridges and Projectiles. The acquisition will be unrestricted. Two (2) firm fixed price, five-year indefinite-delivery indefinite quantity contracts (as defined in FAR 16.504) will be awarded. Best value source selection procedures will be used in selecting the awardees. Solicitation evaluation criteria will include past performance, experience, technical approach, teaming arrangements and price/cost. Transportation costs will be evaluated. Oral presentations will be required. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code for this acquisition is 3483; the small business size standard is 1500. Large business will be required to submit an acceptable subcontracting plan. The contracts will be subject to the Service Contract Act of 1965, As Amended, and the applicable Department of Labor wage determination.
