Attn: AMSCB-PCB, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21010-5423 B -- SERVICES ENTITLED, SOLID PHASE BIOREMEDITION TECHNOLOGIES FOR USE
AT ARMY INSTALLATIONS SOL n/a POC Mr. Wayne Sisk, (410)612-6851 This is
a market survey being conducted by the U.S. Army Environmental Center,
APG, MD, for the Army Industrial Operations Command, Rock Island, IL
to identify innovative bioremediation methods for treatment of soils
and sediments containing organic explosives and organochlorine
pesticides. The Army is seeking to identify sources of larger scale
bioremediation technologies. Bioslurry and composting technologies will
not be considered. In addition, to satisfy specific requirements, USAEC
is seeking only solid phase bioremediation technologies that may be
applied ex-situ or in-situ (in place without significant excavation)
and which use indigenous microbial populations and do not require
inoculation. Respondents must be able to show bench-scale testing data
showing the technologies efficiency at mass reduction of both
organochlorine pesticides and organic explosives. Interested companies
should submit a brief description of the technology, its ideal
applications, and appropriate data to substantiate thatthe technology
qualifies with the above listed requirements. All responses to this
request should be made in writing and should be received by the U.S.
Army Environmental Center no later than Nov 20, 1997. This is a
stand-alone (sources sought) announcement. There are no RFPs being
prepared at this point. All submittals received will be reviewed and
the information received, and the technologies identified may be
considered for incorporation in future draft (if any) and final
Requests for Proposals (if any are issued). This is a request for
information only and is not to be misconstrued as a solicitation for
proposals. This announcement is not to be considered as a commitment of
the Government. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated
with providing information. This is a market survey only. Interested
parties with qualifying technologies should submit two (2) copies of
