Y -- PRE-SOLICITATION FUEL CELL AND CORROSION CONTROL HANGAR AT THE 109TH AW, NYANG, SCHENECTADY COUNTY AIRPORT, SCOTIA, N.Y. 12302 SOL DAHA30-98-B-0001 DUE 120597 POC Contract Specialist John Ryan (518)786-4986 (Site Code DAHA30) PRE-SOLICITATION: Contractor will provide all materials, labor and supervision for the construction of a 25,400 Square Foot (SF) Fuel Cell and Corrosion Control Hangar at the 109th Air Wing, Stratton Air National Guard Base, Schenectady County Airport, Scotia, New York inaccordance with the plans and specifications. This facility includes 18,140 sf of high-bay aircraft hangar space, to fully enclose a Lockheed C-130 aircraft and 7,260 sf of single story administrative and shop area. The project includes the following major elements of work to provide a completely functional maintenance facility: Excavation and backfill for building foundation to include reinforced concrete foundation and slab on grade; structural steel building frame; standing seam metal roof system; insulation and moisture protection; exterior metal siding; masonry walls; interior finishes;doors-personnel, overhead and hangar bay; windows; hoist and monorail system; plumbing; compressed air; HVAC system; fire detection/suppression systems; electrical power, lighting, and control system; CCTV, telephone and PA systems; lighting and grounding systems; site utilities; asphalt pavement -800 sy; PCC airfield pavement -- 2800 sy; landscape improvements; 8" storm drainage -- 600 lf; demolition etc.The magnitude of this proposed project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The Standard Identification Code (SIC) is 1542. The work will be bid as a lump-sum, firm fixed price contract. The anticipated performance time for this contract is 365 calendar days after notice to proceed. IFB DAHA30-98-B-0001 will be issued on or about 05 November 1997 with a bid opening date on or about 05 December 1997.
