Affairs Medical Center, Battle Creek, Michigan intends to award a
contract for bread and bread products. This is a combined
synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with
the format to subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the
only solicitation. Request for Quotes (RFQ) are being requested and a
written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation documents and
incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal
Acquisition Circular 45. The Standard Industrial Classification code
(SIC) for this acquisition is 2051. Delivery points shall be Nutrition
Food Service, 5 days per week, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday,
and Saturday; and Canteen Service, 4 days per week, Monday, Wednesday,
Thursday, and Friday, delivery times 8 AM to 12 PM, local time. Orders
to be called in one time per week by authorized official. Emergency
orders if called in by 12 PM (Noon) to be delivered by 4 PM of the same
day. Each loaf or package to be dated. Only fresh bread products will
be accepted. Delivery truck should be under sanitary conditions, driver
to unload into building, and must not leave product unattended. N&FS
personnel will assist in side the building. Damaged goods will be
replaced or credit issued upon request. Delivery receipt must be signed
by authorized official. Quantities are estimates only, prices should be
submitted for the following: 1) Bread, white, enriched pan baked,
sandwich,fresh, 24 oz loaf, 10,450 each. 2) Texas toast, sliced, 24 oz
loaf, 1,625 each. 3) Bread part whole wheat, pan baked, sandwich,
fresh, 24 oz loaf, 16,950 each. 4) Bread, raisin, pan baked, sandwich,
fresh, sliced, (no icing), 16 oz loaf, 250 each. 5) Bread, rye, pan
baked, sandwich, fresh, without seeds, sliced, 24 oz loaf, 225 each. 6)
Bread, hearth baked, fresh, vienna, sliced, 16 oz loaf, 500 each. 7)
Rolls, English Muffins, fresh, split, 6 per pkg, 12 oz pkg, 1,925 each.
8) Rolls, white, enriched, soft, pan baked, finger, hot dog, fresh,
sliced, 12 per pkg, 17 oz pkg, 2,050 each. 9) Rolls, white, enriched,
soft pan baked, hamburger, 12 per pkg, 22 oz pkg, 6,550 each. 10)
