This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/HQ intends to purchase the items from National Mailing Systems. Only one responsible source 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) or 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1). Ascom Hasler is the only technology which provides complex mail support such as automatic feeding, automatic sealing, and Mail operating Interface. This equipment will be interface with existing mail equipment. The following are the items that NASA intends to purchase under this order: Mail Operating System MCM Server, w/standard MOS Software w/Windows 95, 150lb scale, 4 port serial, black Pentium Computer, 150MHZ 16MG RAM, CD Rom Floppy Drive, 14" Color Monitor, Keyboard & Mouse, Inkjet Report Printer, Zip Drive Backup, Multi Station Network; Mail Operating System (MOS) Differential Weighing Scale; Mailing Operating System (MOS) Interface w/Interface to Ascom Hasler Mailing Equipment presently owned by NASA; Mail Operating System (MOS) Client, w/Standard MOS Software w/Windows 95, 4 Port Serial Board, Black Pentium Computer, 150 MHZ, 16 MG RAM, CD ROM Floppy Drive, 14" Color Monitor, Keyboard & Mouse, Inkjet Report Printer, Multi Station Network; Mail Operating System (MOS) Spectrium 150 Pound Scale, w/Ascom Hasler Model 335 HAS Mailing Machines, Automatic Feeding Up to 1/2" in Thickness, Automatic Sealing, Automatic Programmable Tape Dispensing Up to 999 Tapes, Automatic tape Trip Kit, Compatible To Existing Ascom hasler Mailing Equipment presently owned by NASA Key Lock Security.
