NOTICE OF INTENT TO NEGOTIATE A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT WITH GROUP SOLUTIONS Notice of Intent to negotiate a sole source contract with Group Solutions, Inc. The proposed contractor will assist the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the federally chartered Sport Fishing and Boating Partnership Council in developing and facilitating a national outreach plan to increase interest in outdoor wildlife-based recreation on a national scale. The targeted audience will include recreational fishing and boating organizations, groups and individuals (stakeholders). The Services will include inventory existing data sets for all pertinent demographic data for boating and fishing participation; administer a database inventorying data on an Internet web site; compiling and or- ganizing inventory data; plan and organize twelve (12) stakeholder meetings. The contractor has worked at the national level on recrea- tional fisheries and boating issues for the purpose of identifying the appropriate role of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in recreational fisheries. The contractor will also provide all audio/visual/personal computers and network equipment (up to 50 computers), including trans- portation, setup and breakdown. An immediate disk copy of all meeting products generated on computer network will be provided by the contrac- tor. The product will include a prioritized lists of trends, issues, problems, and solutions, ranked and prioritized through an interactive, participant based consensus building process. Spell-checked final products will be delivered within five (5) working days after each session. Anticipated period of performance shall be from date of award through June 30, 1998. Interested persons may identify to the contract- ing officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement within 15 days of this notice. No solicitation document exists. A request for solicitation will not be considered an affirma- tive response, however, if issuance of a solicitation is determined appropriate, requesting firms will be included on the mailing list.
