As the demands on military helmet systems continue to expand beyond basic impact and ballistic protection toward serving as a platform for advanced sensory information communicated to the human operator, the overall integration challenge has become tremendous. Given the diversity of research, engineering and related support areas that contribute to the development of modern military helmet systems, the symposium is truly multi-disciplinary.
