This program is designed to systematically conduct verification testing on commercially available technologies that are used to characterize environmental contaminants in air, water, and soil. The strategy will include establishing media and technology verification priorities. Stakeholder Groups will guide the development of verification plans and test protocols, assist in the selection of technologies for verification testing, and review verification reports. The Stakeholder Groups are anticipated to be comprised of 25-30 representatives from the following groups of organizations: US EPA, other Federal Agencies, the States, the Regulated Communities, Technology Vendors and Developers, Users, Associations representing the Regulated Community, Measurement Technology Manufacturers groups, Financial Investment groups, Insurance Underwriters, Research Institutions, other Environmental Groups, and other interested organizations or representatives. The Stakeholder Groups are tentatively scheduled to meet twice during each year of the program at a location to be designated.
