Military Traffic Management Command (MTMC) has a requirement for
services to provide a full range of Official and Leisure travel
services for the National Capitol Region (approximately 20 locations in
the Washington DC, Southern Maryland,. and Northern Virginia areas,)
for Army and Civilian personnel. Contract period is anticipated to be
30 Jul 98 -- 29 Jul 99, with a one year base period with eight six
month options. Solicitation DAMT01-98-R-0001 will be issued
approximately 8 Dec 97. This requirement may be partially set-aside for
small business concerns. The determination to partially set-aside for
small business concerns is solely within the discretion of the
Government and will be made based on the information received from
small business concerns. If adequate interest is not received from
small business concerns, the solicitation will be issued as
unrestricted without further notice. All small business concerns
interested in being considered for a potential small business set-aside
must provide to the Contracting Office, no later than 07 Nov 97, a
statement identifying their capability to perform this contract.
Description of capability must include 1) discussion of experience of
key management personnel providing volume travel services 2)
description of present work force and ability to provide adequately
trained personnel to perform this requirement 3) description of
capability to provide short notice travel services to respond to war
time, civil and other national emergencies, 4) explanation of
capability to rapidly expand to expedite travel during large scale
troop movements and during peak periods such as holiday travel from the
Services training base 5) description of capability to provide domestic
and international commercial travel services identified in 3 and 4
above). and 6) Evidence of financial capability, working capital and
other technical and management resources to perform without government
assistance. All interested sources are strongly encouraged to submit
the aforementioned qualifications package and specify whether it is as
a prime contractor and/or subcontractor. Small Businesses shall also
submit the following: 1) a positive statement of eligibility as an
8(a), small, small disadvantaged, women-owned business concern; and 2)
