The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intends to issue a sole source solicitation to the American Association of Poison Control Centers (AAPCC), National Capitol Poison Control Center; 3201 New Mexico Avenue, NW, Suite 310; Washington, DC 20016; to provide over 400,000 records of pesticide exposure (100,00 with symptoms) reported to the American Association of Poison Control Centers from 1993 through 1996. An accuracy audit will be performed on key fields and follow-up on up to 150 cases to assess the accuracy of the database. AAPCC will provide the electronic data file for all pesticide exposures; data shall include cases codes as insecticides, fungicides, rodenticide, herbicides, disinfectants, and moth repellents. Quality assurance will be performed on the file before delivery.
