Reno, 916 246-5080 USDA, Forest Service, Shasta-Trinity National Forest is issuing a negotiated contract to perform multi-task, labor intensive forestry work in Shasta, Siskiyou, Tehama Counties, California. The work to be performed includes, but is not limited to, manual site preparation, planting, animal control, manaul release, precommercial and biomass tree thinning, hand piling, felling, handline construction and tree pruning and other unforeseen miscellaneous projects that may arise. The contract will provide provide for a three year renewable option with a guaranteed minimum of $10,000 and a maximum of $500,000 per contractor per bid item. The solicitation will be issued on or about December 15, 1997 with an estimated start date for the project of March 1998. Both technical and price proposals will be required. See numbered Note 1.
