The Atlantic Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Norfolk, Virginia intends to acquire Base Maintenance Services for the U.S. Naval Base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The work functions include custodial services, bus services, refuse collection, pest control services, grounds maintenance, elevator service, vehicle painting and repairs and pavement marking. The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, management, tools, materials, equipment, parts, supplies, transportation, scheduling, reporting and record functions required to perform Base Maintenance Services. This is a combination firm fixed priced/indefinite quantity type contract for a base period of one year with options to extend, total duration not to exceed sixty (60) months. The proposed solicitation is unrestricted. Specifications will be available on or about 29 December 1997 on a first come first serve basis. The cost for the first set of specifications is $25.00. The cost for the second set of specifications is $35.00. No more than two sets of specifications will be provided to each requester. Specifications will not be forwarded until receipt by this command of a nonrefundable check or money order made out to Atlantic Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Norfolk, Virginia. A pre-proposal conference is tentatively planned for the January/February 1998 timeframe at the U.S. Naval Base, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
