The Department of the Navy, Naval Air Systems Command, intends to contract with the McDonnell Douglas Corporation for the fiscal year (FY) 1999-2002 T-45 Training System (T-45TS). The FY 1999-2002 T-45TS program consists of T-45C Goshawk aircraft; ancillary equipment; flight trainers; support equipment; spares and repair parts; ground training system support, planning, integration and related analysis; integrated logistics support activities; technical manuals; and data requirements. This multiple year (option) contract will provide for the delivery of not fewer than 15 nor more than 18 T-45C aircraft, per year, during fiscal years 1999-2001 and not fewer than 16 nor more than 19 T-45C aircraft in fiscal year 2002. McDonnell Douglas Corporation is the designer, developer and sole integrator of the T-45TS and is the only know source with the experience and technical data necessary to the performance of this effort.
