Lancaster Rd., Dallas, TX 75216 intends to purchase a pump laser and mode-locked TI Sapphire laser combination to be used with a Zeiss LSM 410 microscope for two-photon microscopy. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Part 12 as supplemented with additional information included in this announcement. Description and Specifications for the lasers are; SolidState Pump Laser, (1 each), specifications; (a) Diode-pumped, a minimum of 5W CW Visible Laser Output, (b) Total turn-key operations with no cleaning and optics adjustment required, (c) pump laser must operate on 110V drawing less than 10A, and shall not require external cooling water and (d) Must include full 24-month performance warranty with unlimited hours of operation. Mode-locked Ti: Sapphire Laser (1 each), specifications; (a) must have output specifications to include pulse with <80 fs, must offer pulse width options of <50fs to 200fs, (b) must include optics sets for 690 nm to 980 nm for two or three-photon excitation, 9c) must be purgeable with nitrogen, (d) must be upgradable for longer wavelengths, must be compatible and usable for life-time measurements, i.e,. must have an integral fast photodiode to give a real-time synchronization signal for lifetime measurements studies, (e) must have low optical noise, (f) must include full 24-month performance warranty with unlimited hours of operation. Wavelength meter (1 each), specifications; must be able to accurately determine excitation wavelength, Power Meter (1 each), specifications; must be able to accurately determine excitation power.
