The Defense Special Weapons Agency (DSWA) has a requirement to
incorporate the various specific effects of nuclear, biological, and
chemical insults to the human body into the computer-based DSWA Hazard
Prediction and Assessment code. Specifically to be addressed are the
modifications to the "straight-line" linear effects due to time-varying
doses, vaccinations, pre-exposure to other environmental insults, MOPP
gear, stress, and level of training and defensive posture of the
insulted party. Effects will be calculated for civilian populations and
low-level doses as well as for military populations at battlefield
concentration exposures. The software developed under this effort will
be integrated into the next release of the Hazard Prediction and
Assessment Capability, a DSWA product currently in use world-wide by
deployed military forces, DoD and DoE laboratories, academia, as well
as numerous private sector enterprises such as commercial power plants.
This effort has been set aside for small businesses(SEE Note 22). A
SECRET security clearance is required. For further information contact
Michael Richman at (703) 325-6671. Information on DSWA solicitations,
already released, can be obtained by calling the DSWA Hotline at (703)
325-1173. As of 31 May 96, Acquisition Management has added
"Procurement Opportunities" to the DSWA Home Page available on the
World Wide Web. Information will include this synopsis and more. Please
