Alexander/Pkwrs/ [937]257-6338 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for hardware maintenance support prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as a supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) and this includes all provision and clauses in effect thru FAC 90-40. This is a sole source requirement for hardware maintenance for equipment that is of a proprietary design. This RFP is for hardware maintenance of a Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS) system which include four (4) systems with multiple components. System 0001 -- (JEOL 100 CX), Model Number TN-5500/ABAA; System 0002 -- (JEOL 2000 FX), Model Number TN-5500/ABAA; System 0003 -- (JEOL 840), Model Number TN-5500/BBCA; System 0004 -- (JEOL 333), Model Number TN-5502N. The contractor will provide all parts, labor, travel and materials necessary to maintain existing equipment in good operation condition; all services are to be performed on-site. The contractor shall also provide remedial maintenance no later than 24 hours after notification; and preventative maintenance in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications during hours of 0800-1600 Monday thru Friday. The contractor shall provide status reports and present deliverables. Place of Performance: WL/MLLP, 2230 10th Street, Suite 1, WPAFB OH 45433. The contractor shall perform in accordance with the established Statement of Work (SOW). The following clauses and provision apply: 52.212-1 and 52.212-3. Clause 52.212-4 and 52.212-5 shall be included with any offer. WPAFB OH intends to award to Noran Instruments Inc., 2551 West Beltline Highway, Middleton, WI 53662-2597.
