FISC San Diego is announcing it's intent to issue an RFQ for the following requirement: On-site full service maintenance contract for a government owned Electron Spectroscopy Chemical Analysis System. System name: ESCA, system model no. 560, manufacturer Physical Electronics Inc. Location: Naval Aviation Depot, NAS, North Island, San Diego, CA. Period of performance: December 1, 1997 through September 30, 1998. There are approximately forty-eight pieces of equipment associated with the base system that will require maintenance. Maintenance is to include all labor, parts (excluding consumables), and associated travel costs. One annual preventative maintenance inspection on the system and a minimum of three emergency repair calls are to be included. Additionally, the contractor will required to provide technical telephone and/or communication support services. Small business contractors that have experience with this type of equipment maintenance support services are encourage to submit by fax a request to obtain a copy of the RFQ. The RFQ will become available to interested contractors on November 5, 1997.
