The Eastern Administrative Support Center, on behalf of the Greater Hampton Roads Cooperative Administrative Support Unit (GHR-CASU) and TRICARE-MidEast Region2, intends to negotiate with FHC Options, Norfolk, VA on a sole source basis to continue the development and implementation of a program to provide outreach education and guidance to patients and family members experiencing breast cancer. The contractor shall provide education to mental health providers; educate beneficiaries; and provide clinical support and access to therapeutic services. The contractor shall also ensure beneficiary satisfaction with the educational and wellness components of the breast cancer support program. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 41 USC 253(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source. Companies who can provide the above listed services must indicate their interest within 5 days of this announcement. Any party interested in receiving a copy of the solicitation shall provide written notice to the Contracting Office. The solicitation document will be issued October 29, 1997. No contract award will be made on the basis of quotations received in response to this notice since this synopsis cannot be considered a Request for Quotation.
