US CHAMBER OF COMMERCE EASTERN REGIONAL PROCUREMENT OPPORTUNITY FAIR THE EASTERN REGIONAL PROCUREMENT OPPORTUNITY FAIR Small businesses will have the opportunity to meet and make deals with purchasers from major companies and Government Agencies at the Eastern Regional Procurement Opportunity Fair in Bensalem, PA on October 29, sponsored by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and area chambers. The Fair, to be held at the Holiday Inn, North East in Bensalem, will feature representatives from such companies as Wyeth-Ayerst Laboratories, Boeing Rotorcraft, and Princeton University Plasma Physics Laboratory as well as Government agencies including the US Army Material Command and the Department of the Navy. In addition to providing direct sales opportunities the Fair will offer the small business participants the opportunity to keep up to date on rapidly changing procurement procedures during sessions throughout the day. For example, this year the Commerce Business Daily -- the small business bible for business opportunities with the Government—no longer includes announcements of less than $100,000, up from $25,000. Attendees will learn about developments in on-line access to information to supplement the Commerce Business Daily. A key seminar will be offered by the West Chester University Electronic Commerce Resource Center on its DoD-funded training services. Information will be available from the US Chamber of Commerce about UNIBEX, the PC-based electronic network allowing users to find, qualify and negotiate business transactions with partners around the world.
