The Minerals Management Service is interested in receiving information on commercial off-the-shelf software (CD-ROM version) for Intranet search and retrieval of 30 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 250 through 30 CFR 282, which establish regulations for managing mineral resources offshore the United States, including documents incorporated by reference. The information will be used by engineers, compliance personnel, and regulatory management in the fields of petroleum, chemicals, mining and support companies to those industries engaged in offshore exploration and production. The software must: have full text browser able to search on keywords, text, and phrases; allow users to view and print images, charts, maps, and diagrams; be easy to install, use, and maintain; be capable of supporting multiple users; allow users to incorporate data into other applications; be Year 2000 compliant, as defined in FAR 39.002. The vendor must: conduct on-site training; provide updates and maintenance of data, and user support. Vendors responding to this notice should provide the following information: (1) descriptive literature on the product; (2) a price list, including pricing for maintenance and/or license fees; (3) GSA Schedule information (if applicable); (4) point of contact and phone number; (5) list of references of government or commercial users and their phone numbers.
