HARD TARGET SMART FUZE (HTSF) INDUSTRY DAY The Precision Strike System Program Office (WMG), Product Support Office (PSO), Contracting Directorate (WMGK), Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC), Aeronautical Systems Center (ASC), Eglin AFB FL, plans an Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) effort for the Hard Target Smart Fuze (HTSF), with a follow-on production option to satisfy Air Force HTSF requirements. Contract award is anticipated in May 98. Interested fuze and system contractors are invited to attend a HTSF Industry Day on 6 Nov 97. The primary purpose of this Industry Day is to provide present and potential fuze contractors and weapon system contractors a comprehensive overview of current requirements, plans, schedules, strategies, and available technical data associated with the HTSF. The meeting will be held at 308 West D Ave, Building 260, Large Conference Room, Eglin AFB, FL. Registration will begin at 0730 hours. The Government will begin at 0800 hours with a brief overview of the program to include status, technical description, test results, technical data package status and acquisition strategy. Individual one on one meetings with interested contractors will begin at 1300 hours and will be limited to one hour for each company. Sessions will be scheduled on a first come first serve basis. WMGH plans to provide a brief tour of the Fuze Test Facility on the morning of 6 Dec 97 to interested parties. It is ASC/WMGH's intention to grant all interested companies the opportunity to meet on a one on one basis with HTSF program personnel. Marketing presentations are highly discouraged.
