The proposed work includes all plant, labor, material, equipment and services to add to and alter two existing facilites. One facility (Bldg #140) is a 28,700 sf steel frame building that when complete will be 30,300 sf. The other facility (Bldg #170) is a 15,800 sf reinforced masonry building that when complete will be 24,500 sf. Additions will be a combination of concrete foundations, steel frame and CMU and/or metal siding. Interior alterations are extensive, including major changes to the electrical and HVAC systems. Interior walls will be a combination of metal stud/gypsum board and CMU. All site, mechanical, electrical and utility work is included. The work also includes asbestos removal and the demolition of Bldg #125 (3,467 sf). Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 1542; Related Small Business Size is $17.0M. Estimated magnitude of construction is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Tentative due date is January 14, 1998. This is an approximate date only. Tentative solicitation release date December 3, 1997.
