The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to remodel and replace the roofs of three buildings, and fabricate and erect a new shed. The location of the project is at the American Dam Field Office, 2616 West Paisano Drive, El Paso, El Paso County, TX 79922. The work to be performed includes the following: removal of metal roof panels and gutter and downspouts on the warehouse, shop, and carpenter buildings; installation of metal roof panels, roof and wall insulation, skylights, and gutter and downspouts on the warehouse and shop buildings; installation of metal roof panels and wall and roof insulation on the carpenter building; removal and installation of six (6) evaporative coolers and duct work for shop and carpenter buildings; installation of one (1) evaporative cooler, water supply line, electric service line, and duct work for warehouse building; duct work to include roof jacks, stands and risers with diffusers; removal and installatin of three (3) gravity-type ventilators; fabrication and erection of a new shed with metal roofing to be located between the shop and carpenter buildings; removal of approximately 156 sq.ft. (6in thick) concrete slab from an existing slab between the carpenter and shop buildings; placement of 347 sq.ft. (6in thick) concrete slab between the carpenter and shop buildings; and extension of existing electrical, mechanical, and other miscellaneous components to new exterior wall surfaces. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded for this procurement. The estimated range of construction is between $25,000 and $100,000. Tentative dates for issuing and opening IFB 98-01 are November 17 and December 16, 1997.
