PA 19112-5083 66 -- THROTTLE LEVER/SINGLE AXIS CONTROLLER SOL N65540-98-S-0001 POC
David Remner, NSWCCD-SSES Code 9532, 215-897-1270. SOURCES SOUGHT:
THROTTLE LEVER/SINGLE AXIS CONTROLLER The US Navy is seeking sources
for an industrial shock/vibration hardened throttle control
lever/single axis controller. The controller's intended use is as a
throttle control lever. Salient characteristic include: two independent
handle controls with synch-lock feature, separate potentiometer for
each handle with overall resistance of 5 kilo-ohms, electrical angle of
60 degrees ( +30 degrees, centered at zero), 240 ohm resistor on each
end of potentiometer, lever linear lever scale from 10 to -10 with
center detent at zero, braking system on levers which will meet
military shock and vibration requirements, and incandescent
backlighting of face plate. Maximum of 500 mA power consumption when
backlighting set at maximum (24 Vdc supply). The throttle control lever
is to be form, fit and function replacement of existing equipment. The
equipment will be panel mounted. Electrical connection will be one
shielded cable consisting of 9 conductors (three conductors for each
potentiometers, two connectors for backlight power supply, and one for
chassis ground). Conductors shall be M16878/6-BEE or equivalent. The
potentiometers will be provided with a 12 Vdc supply, the lamp will be
provided with 24 Vdc. Dimensional requirements include a 8.25 inches
x 8.25 inches mounting plate, potentiometer housing below the mounting
plate limited to 6.5 x by 6.5 inches by 3.32 inches deep, and overall
height less than 7.75 inches. For additional information and
requirements contact: David Remner, NSWCCD-SSES Code 9532, phone (215)
