A -- STATEMENT OF WORK "HYDROGEN FLUORIDE/DEUTERIUM FLUORIDE (HF/DR) CHEMICAL LASER/GAIN GENERATOR TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT" SOL DAAH01-98-R-R003 DUE 120897 POC (RDPC) Patsy C. The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command intends to procure on a sole source basis from TRW, Inc., TRW Electronics and Defense Secor, One Space Park, Redondo Beach CA 90278, an effort entitled, "Hydrogen Fluoride Deuterium Floride (HF/DF) Chemical Laser Gain Generator Technology Development." The contract will be on a Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee-Level-of-Effort basis. Specific guidance will be by issuance of various Technical Directives as requirements materialize. The scope of this effort shall include laser analysis, design analysis, fabrication and experimental characterization of HF and DF lasers. This effort shall advance the technology of gain generators to AMCOM and BMDO. Tasks resulting from this contract will allow the Government to make decisions concerning the future of the BMDO SBL weapon system. This effort wil be used to support the demonstration of potential reliable strategic defense systems in the early 2000's. The performance period of the proposed contract is 60 months.
