Concerns having the ability to furnish the following services are requested to give written notification, including a telephone number for a POC to the acquisition office listed in this notice within 15 calendar days from the date of synopsis. The Bureau of Reclamation has a requirement for providing for the imaging of financial data for the period of October 1, 1997 through September 30, 1998. The CD-ROM technology required will replace the microfiche methodology of storing historical financial data generated by FFS on a monthly basis Reclamation wide. Capability for accessing the CD-ROM data must be via the DOS or Windows software applications that currently exist in Reclamation, i.e., WordPerfect, LOTUS, MS Access, dBase IV, GroupWise, and Novell. The database application structure must be independent of DOS or Windows, but accessible by DOS or Windows applications. Additional information regarding the requirement statement of work can be obtained by fax. It is the Bureau's belief that Document Imaging, Inc., Denver, Colorado, is the only firm capable of providing these services based on the fact that this firm is currently providing these highly specialized applications and technical analytical and research services for Reclamation, within a very short turnaround timeframe. This requirement shall be processed in accordance with FAR Part 12, Commercial Products and FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, utilizing a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items as prescribed in FAR Subpart 12.6, and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract, and is not a formal solicitation.
