Mikkelson, Purchasing Agent, (605) 226-7571 The Aberdeen Area Indian Health Service (AAIHS) is seeking a certified Buy Indian source to provide pharmacy consultation services to the Office of Health Programs in the Aberdeen Area Office in Aberdeen, South Dakota. The purpose if a solicitation is issued, is to provide the services of a registered pharmacist who is familiar with Aberdeen Area Indian Health Service pharmacy program activities; pharmacy requirements and standards in the IHS manual; Aberdeen Area pharmacy policies and procedures; JCAHO presurvey and survey accreditation criteria and standards; Medicare and Medicaid accreditation standards, and the Veterans Administration Prime Vendor Program. Services are required of November 1, 1997 through September 30, 1998, with options to renew for two one -year terms. An Award decision will be based upon the best value to the government with a certified Buy-Indian source that is a registered pharmacist. The source must have a record of successful performance working with small and rural Indian Health Service facilities and specific experience with a prime vendor pharmaceutical arrangement.
