Description of work: Construction of Temporary Lodging Facilities (TLF) at ten sites at Hickam AFB, Hawaii. The TLF includes two two-story buildings supporting a total of 40 units (20 one bedroom and 20 two-bedroom) with interior entrances to the units and service building. The living units consist of motel/hotel type units with bathroom, kitchen, sleeping and living areas in each unit. The building will have a clay tile roof with masonry exterior, steel structural frame with CMU and a centralized chilled water HVAC system. Also included will be parking facilities, utilities, access drives, and landscaping. Each TLF building is approximately 18,906 sf and the service building is approximately 1,350 sf. This prcurement is UNRESTRICTED. Estimated construction range for the project is $5,000,000.00 to $10,000,000.00. The SIC code is 1522. Duration of the project is 310 calendar days from the receipt of the notice to proceed. Plans and specifications will be available on or about 07 November 1997. Bid opening will be on or about 30 days after the issuance of solicitation, or on or about 2:30pm Local Time, 09 December 1997.
