The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport intends to solicit technical and price proposals for TR-353(A) Sonar Transducers. First Article Acceptance Testing (FAAT) will be required. If supplies identical or substantially identical to those called for herein have been previously furnished by the offeror and accepted by the Government, the requirement for first article approval may be waived by the Contracting Officer. 40 First Article units will be required for FAAT. First year production quantity will be 50 units. Second year option will be up to 650 units. Third year option will be up to 1,300 units. Fourth year option will be up to 1,300 units. Fifth year option will be up to 1,300 units. Award will be made on the basis of Best Value. Evaluation factors: Technical Capability including Past Performance and Cost. Acquisition is unrestricted. Acquisition history: Raytheon Corporation, Middletown, RI previously provided these transducers. Portions of the specifications are classsified and will be sent under separate cover. NOTE: Drawings for the TR-353(A) Transducers are not available for distribution. The drawings are available for the cost of preparation and transmittal.
