Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to solicit on a full and open competition basis the acquisition of maintenance services of telephone switch equipment located at the Naval Station Ingleside, Ingleside, TX and the Naval Station Kingsville, Kingsville, TX. The services include maintenance and/or repair services, remote testing and diagnostic support for the Northern Telecom Meridian 1 Option 81C. Maintenance shall be provided on a 24 hour seven (7) days per week inclusive of holidays with a four (4) hour response time, except in emergencies, a two (2) hour response time is required. The contractor shall maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools within close proximity of no more than one (1) hour from either location. Services are required 1 January 1998 or date of award through 30 September 1998, with four (4) one (1) year renewal option. All responsible sources may be submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Fleet an Industrial Supply Center. Request for solicitation should be made by letter or telegram directed to FISC code 0343 reference N00140-98-R-0178. The Request for Proposals is expected to be issued approximately 7 November 1997.
