The solicitation for the operation of the Excelsior Springs Job Corps Center located in Excelsior Springs, Missouri, will be available approximately November 17, 1997. Requests for proposals shall be forwarded to USDOL/Office of Job Corps, Region VII/VIII, City Center Square, Suite 1000, 1100 Main Street, Kansas City, Missouri, 64105. The resultant contract will cover the period July 1, 1998, through June 30, 2000, plus three (3) governmental unilateral renewal options of one year. The approximate average capacity strength is 495 students (165 residential males and 140 residential females, and 39 non-residential males and 151 non-residential females). A pre-preposal conference will be convened at 1:30 p.m. Central Standard Time (CST) on Thursday, December 4, 1997, at the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Job Corps, City Center Square, Suite 1000, 1100 Main Street, Kansas City, Missouri. Following the pre-proposal conference, there will be tour of the Kansas City Non-Res Satellite. Beginning at 9:00 a.m. (CST) on Friday, December 5, 1997, there will be a tour of the Excelsior Springs facility and the St. Joseph Non-Res Satellite.
