The Stratton VA Medical Center, 113 Holland Ave., Albany, New York intends to award a sole source contract to Liquitech, Inc., 649 Executive Drive, Willowbrook, IL 60521. The requirement is to provide three (3) electronic purification systems for two (2) existing hot water systems to eliminate the existence of Legionella bacteria in the hot water recirculation as follows: Application 1 for the lower hot water distribution systm serving six floors and a total of 47 beds, cafeteria and the laundry; One (1) Model XLTC10 Electronic Control Unit; One (1) Model XLTF58 -- 6/4 Liguitech 4" Flow Cell; One (1) Model XLTF58 -- 6/4 Spare Liquitech 4" Flow Cell; One (1) Model STC-CTP Copper Colorimeter Test Kit. Application 2 for the upper hot water distribution system serving seven floors and a total of 354 beds: Two (2) Model XLTC10 Electronic Control Units; Two (2) Model XLTF58 -- 6/4 Liquitech 4" Flow Cells; Two (2) Model XLTF58 -- 6/4 Spare Liquitech 4" Flow Cells; One (1) Model STC-CTP Copper Colorimeter Test Kit. Installation to be perormed by others with the supervision, engineering and consultation provided by the vendor. The company representatives shall be on site to provide the necessary start up supervision. The company shall provide on-site training of VAMC personnel on the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the systems. Training shall be coordinated with the A/C Shop Foreman at a time most convenient for medical center personnel and shall last approximately two to three hours. Warranty: Five (5) years from date of start up. Two operating and maintenance manuals will be provided. Equipment will be delivered FOB destination. This notice of intent is not a request for competitve proposals. This acquisition is being conducted under the guidelines as set forth in the Simplified Acquisition Procedures and in accordance with FAR Part 12.6 Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items.
