Cultural resource tasks performed under this contract will include identificaiton, evaluation and determination of significance according to the criteria of the National Register of Historic Places and addenda; general and intensive literature searches leading to overviews of prehistoric and historic cultural resources and/or comprehensive background statements for reports; development of research questions based on the synthesis of existing knowledge and data gaps for the Pacific Northwest cultural area(s) and/or historic period; field surveys at all degrees of intensity utilizing informed as well as statistical sampling procedures; excavations ranging from site testing, mitigation, to small scale data recovery; analysis of recovered data (using state-of-the-art analytical procedures) to support evaluation of cultural resources or to address research questions during data recovery work; curation including, stabilization, accessioning and processing of recovered materials ranging from stone tools, fiber, faunal, floral, and other archeological specimens and samples using state-of-the-art curation procedures; application of Federal and State (Washington and Oregon) laws and regulations pertaining to management and preservation of historical and archeological resources. Contract will be for one base year with two option years. RFP available on or about November 21, 1997 at no charge.
