121297 POC Kristina R. Rodabaugh (206)526 6379 TEXT: To provide drydock
repairs to NOAA'S fisheries research ship McARTHUR with the following
vessel characteristics: Type: Steel hull, ice strengthened; Propulsion:
Twin-screw diesel, 800 SHP each, controllable-pitch propellers; Overall
length: 175 feet; Beam: 38 feet; and Draft: 11 feet; and a displacement
of 995 tons. Work includes, but is not limited to underwater body hull
painting, remove and inspect port and starboard rudders and replace
upper and lower bearings, and replace port rudder with a new rudder;
replace port main engine jacket water expansion tank and inspect
cathodic protection system. Foreseeable costs will be assessed from the
ship's homeport in Seattle, WA. Ship's inspection period is tentatively
scheduled for December 1-4, 1997. Period of performance is scheduled to
begin between January 15 and January 28, 1998, and continue for 30
consecutive days. The "Notice to Proceed: will be mutually agreed upon
by both parties. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall
