R -- TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO ENHANCE PROGRAM MANAGEMENT OF PRIMARY CARE ACTIVITIES SUPPORTED BY THE BUREAU OF PRIMARY HEALTH CARE (BPHC) SOL HRSA 240-BPHC-1(8) DUE 122497 POC Contracting Officer, Lorah Tidwell (301) 443-5128 The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is soliciting proposals to provide Technical Assistance (TA) to enhance program management of primary care activities. The purpose of this contract is to provide TA for periodic onsite reviews, diagnostic assessment, follow-up assessments, short term management of problem projects, review of capital improvement projects, and special projects supported by the HRSA, Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC).. This TA is intended to enhance overall program management of primary care activities supported by the BPHC. The TA will focus on specialty areas of community need and shall include but not be limited to: clinical practice management, recruitment and retention, administration and finance, community governance, managed care, community development, network development, needs of special populations, and information systems. This proposed contract will be for one (1) base year and four (4) option years. This requirement is being advertised as a competitive 8(a) acquisition. Offers from concerns other than certified 8(a) sources will not be considered. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code for this requirement is 8742. All responsible 8(a) sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Agency. The solicitation will be issued on or about November 14, 1997 with a closing date of December 24, 1997.
