This will be an open-continuous (Evergreen) Special Item Number. Offers may be submitted at anytime. This requirement will be synopsized annually. The definition of the New Technology Special Item Number (SIN) is a new product or an upgraded product (as to be virtually a new product)made available to the commercial and goverment marketplace. This product must meet the Special Provision as outlined below: Items (products or services) that provide a new function/attribute/service, items not currently in the supply system which meet the needs of Government customers, or items that significantly improved an existing function.attribute/service if the items were not immediately added to the schedule. The New Technology SIN 606-1008 is inteneded for temporary placement of new items which can be characterized under this schedule, until the items can be formally placed on an existing or newly created SIN on this schedule. Offers for New Technology items will be only considered under the above conditions. Offerors must understand that there is not implied guarantee that the item offered will be recognized and accepted as new technology.
